Carousel is a card game where you get rich by manipulating the flow of time. There are eight actions in the game, and they’re randomly distributed in every card. That means there are no bad cards or bad cards, it all depends on a central character.
The character on the center of the table defines which action activates when you play your cards, so you want to control where he is.
It started as a game about time travel, and I experimented with themes until I landed on delivering post! It had a lot to do with who the game was being pitched to, but it certainly made it easy to explain.
Playing with theme brought in some new concepts that I liked, and it would turn it into a more complex game, so I branched it into a new one called Pizza-go-round.
